Why I'm Here and Why I'm Inviting You
-to a Community of Those Who Love the Camino de Santiago & Everyday Pilgrims
What I noticed even before I walked the Camino, while I was still gathering information and attending my first American Pilgrims on the Camino conference, was the instant camaraderie, and how much I had in common with everyone. I felt at home, like never before, and it has continued. Having an interest in the Camino means that we are probably connected through our love of Spanish culture and language, being out in nature, spiritual/personal growth and great food.
Here we can share all of it and regain the sense of community we had for our 6 weeks or so. It doesn’t need to end and can keep enriching our lives.
I’ll be sharing my favorite photos along the Camino Francés, in 2013. As I post, I will also be sharing some reflections, interesting historical and religious stories, magical legends, memories of my childhood in Puerto Rico and what created my lifelong fascination with the Camino, and observations of what it means to be a modern-day Pilgrim.
